Very close to La Posada you will find the Padern castle.
At 4,5 km in the northeast of Quéribus, the Padern castle
overhangs the village called of the same name.

The Padern castle is constituted from a high polygonal wall,
some rests of donjon and of home.

Property of the abbey of Lagrasse from the 9th century to
1579, the castle was the cause of a quarrel between Alain
of Roucy, lord of Terms and the abbey, during the crusade
against the albigeois.

The Padern castle has been totally reconstructed in the
17th century then abandoned to the Revolution.
