Through 22 rooms, the Prehistory Museum
takes you to the meeting of the Man from
Tautavel, the oldest man discovered
on the French ground (450 000 years).

Thanks to faithful reformations of prehistorics
scenes, you will plunge into the heart of
the Tautavel valley and make a fabulous
journey among the human being, the animals
and the landscapes.

A real size reformation of the
Caune of Arago (place where
the Tautavel man was discovered) allows of
immersing oneself in the authentic habitat of
this ancestor.

The individual receivers (French, Catalan,
English, German, Dutch and Spanish)
will bring you clear and pedagogic explanations
in each room of the museum.
