The Bugarach Pech

The Bugarach Pech (or Bugarach Peak) is the towering
point of the Corbières, reaching 1 230 meters high. At
its summit you can enjoy a magnificent panorama that
spreads from the Pyrenees to the Black Mountain and
from the Mediterranean sea to the high Aude valley. The
Bugarach Pech is probably among all the average mountain
summits, one of those that offers the most sumptuous
panorama. From its summit, during the night of july the
13th and 14th, you can see the fireworks of the Aude, of the
Ariège and of the Pyrenees-Orientales, if the weather is nice.

The massif of Bugarach is a geological curiosity spreading
on several kilometers from the South to the North.

Climbing lovers, welcome!! The summit is marked
at the East on 250 meters by a series of cliffs that dive
at more than a hundred meters. You will find here
several level of way from 5c to 7c on a height of
100 to 200 m.

The Agly river, that passes close to La Posada, takes its
Source on the slopes of this unordinary massif !!
